Mind Your Language

Many in fighting in homes today is because of lack of proper language us. I told one of my daughters, that the mouth is for talking but not everything that come to the mouth is worth saying out.

Your language is important because when spoken out, it does a lot of damage. Then you find yourself in the position of am sorry always.

Don’t allow it to get to the point the Bible warns us in Proverbs 15:23 saying, “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth and a word spoken in due season how good is it.”

Many are carried by their emotional destress and end up always

  • Shouting
  • Insulting
  • Arguing
  • Crying
  • Talking without listening
  • Refusal to communicate
  • Always saying negative things that affect lives

What are those negatives in your language that must be avoided?

  • You call yourself a man
  • I will slap you
  • You are useless
  • Go to hell
  • I hate you
  • You are ugly
  • Bitch
  • I will leave you if you misbehave
  • Witch
  • I don’t love you any more
  • Look at your fellow men out there
  • I will divorce you
  • I can see this marriage will not last
  • I don’t think we are compatible
  • I regret marrying you

These are all wrong words. These words can only lead to chaos, lack of peace and eventually the demise of the marriage which is not the will of God for you.

Marriage is about marrying the right person as ordained for you by God. But when you get married be the right person yourself starting with a change of language. The Bible says in Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

I pray for fire fall upon your tongue from today to change your language in Jesus name. in whatever way your bad language has affected the honey of your marriage let the mercy of God swallow your mistake and heal your marriage in Jesus name.
